The long awaited moment has arrived! It is with great happiness and excitement that we confirm the opening of Sommet Saint-Sauveur for this Wednesday, November 16th. Once again, the first station to launch the longest ski season in Quebec! Skiers and snowboarders will be expected to hit the slopes as early as noon on Côte 70 West, which can be accessed by taking the Étoile lift. An evening of skiing in the midst of a heatwave: a remarkable technical feat at Sommet Saint-Sauveur


On May 30, 2023, skiers had the opportunity to ride one last time this season on the Côte 70 of Sommet Saint-Sauveur. As part of the annual congress of the Quebec Ski Area Association (ASSQ), a final evening in honor of skiing was organized at the mountain. All the elements were brought together to make this event a memorable moment for ski enthusiasts: the presence of key industry players, Olympic champions, and the most fervent customers; perfect weather and extremely pleasant skiing conditions. In other words, a truly unique evening. We had the pleasure of welcoming an impressive number of visitors for this evening celebrating the fantastic 2022-2023 season. Upcoming investments and new features at Les Sommets: 2023-2024 Season


We are pleased to inform you that the les Sommets group will be investing over $11 million in infrastructure improvements over the coming year. Here's a brief overview of the planned investments. Apollo, the new Sommet Olympia lift Our biggest investment is unquestionably the installation of Apollo, a brand-new 4-seater chairlift with loading carpet at Sommet Olympia. Preparations are already underway, as the new lift is scheduled to open at the start of the 2023-2024 ski season. It will replace the mountain's previous triple lift. Following the addition of the Laurentienne lift at Sommet Gabriel last year, the Apollo lift is the third new Doppelmayr-brand lift to be installed at les Sommets since 2019. Added to this is the ongoing upgrading of all our other lifts; the Soleil lift at Sommet Morin Heights, for example, was completely repainted last year. Les Sommets management regrets to announce the death of Louis Dufour, Chairman of the Board of the company, leaving his family and thousands of employees and friends in mourning. Waterville Valley Resort Announces New MND 6-Person Detachable Bubble Lift

Whistler Blackcomb announces closure of the 2020/21 winter season


After careful consideration of the new Provincial Health Order by the government of British Columbia, Blackcomb Mountain will not reopen winter operations when the order is scheduled to lift on April 19th. Whistler Mountain was already scheduled to close on April 19th. "While the Provincial Health Order caught us all by surprise, we fully support the government's direction and we're doing our part to comply. Holiday Valley to Build Yodeler High Speed Quad in 2021


Holiday Valley Resort announced last November plans to construct a new chairlift in 2021. The new lift is a state of the art high speed detachable quad chairlift that will replace the fixed grip Yodeler Quad that was built in 2001. The new lift has been purchased from Doppelmayr USA, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Including installation, the cost of the new Yodeler High Speed Quad is $4 million. Many beginner skiers and snowboarders ride the Yodeler lift to return to the base area from the beginner slopes at Tannenbaum and Spruce. The chairs of the new lift will travel uphill at a much faster rate, but they detach from the cable and go slower for loading and unloading, making it much easier for skiers to get on and off the lift.
