January is Learn to Ski and Ride Month at Sugarbush

As part of the National Ski Areas Association's efforts to increase participation in skiing and snowboarding, Sugarbush Resort has teamed up with Vermont's local chapter, Ski Vermont, to offer ski and ride lessons in January for as low as $49. During January's Learn to Ski and Ride Month, beginners can purchase Sugarbush's $49 first-timer lesson, a First-Timer-to-Life-Timer three-lesson program, and a new fourth add-on lesson that awards first timers with a pair of skis or a snowboard.

The $49 first timer lesson is a two-hour group lesson that includes rentals, instruction, and a lift ticket, offered every day during the month of January except Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend. Sugarbush's award-winning First Timer to Life Timer Program offers three consecutive group lessons which include rentals, instruction, and a lift ticket, and then awards participants with a FREE All-Mountain Season Pass. New this season, first timers can add a fourth lesson for $99 where, upon completion, they'll receive a free Rome snowboard or pair of Elan skis. The First-Timer-to-Life-Timer program is offered throughout the season, but during the month of January, the $49 first-time lesson can be bundled into the price of the program, bringing the total cost of the three-lesson program down from $295 to $219. These programs are available for any first-time skier or rider age thirteen and up. Sugarbush offers a separate menu of programs for beginners younger than thirteen.

Sugarbush has already seen over forty graduates of their First-Timer-to-Life-Timer Program this season. For more information on these programs, visit www.sugarbush.com.
